Body Lift

A Lower Body Lift is an extension of an abdominoplasty or tummy tuck, which follows the bikini line around the entire body. In addition to the benefits of an abdominoplasty, it removes excess skin and fat and lifts the soft tissues of the thighs and buttocks. Some have referred to this procedure as a “face lift” for the body. It accomplishes more than just removing redundant skin. A Lower Body Lift actually rejuvenates the appearance of the body by tightening the supportive soft tissues of the treated area and can also improve cellulite. The Lower Body Lift can also be performed in combination with Breast Lift and Breast Augmentation procedures to produce a complete overall body transformation.

Drs. Tachmes and Pielet perform these procedures in the privacy of their state of the art plastic surgery suite located on Lincoln Road, South Beach. The surgeons usually operate in tandem to expedite the procedure and reduce overall operative time. Most cases require general anesthesia and last from 3 to 5 hours. Patients then spend 1-3 days recovering in a nearby South Beach Hotel with optional overnight nursing care available. Our practice can also arrange for a monthly rental apartment on miami beach for out of town patients who would like to stay in south florida longer. Patients usually take 2-3 weeks off from work, depending on their occupation. They can usually resume their normal level of activity 4 to 6 weeks after surgery. There is a permanent scar which fades over time and is easily hidden by bikini bottoms or panties.
